Obd1? Obd2?
what is it? and what is the difference?
are there any advantages of getting one over the other?

OBDI pre-97, OBDII-97+, an OBDII diagnostic scanner can hook up to any car made 97+ with the correct card and OBDI is usually not i believe....someone correct me if i am wrong please

OBDII is 96+ actually not 97+

there is also an OBDIIB which i believe started in 00

OBDII is also better at adapting your engines a/f and stuff like that to nullify the beifits of some modifications. Also for any type of aftermarket Engine Managment system or drastic mods (Forced Induction, Cams, etc.) an OBDI conversion is basically a requirment.
