Progress: NISMO R32 GTR

want to get to that eclipse kit, I have some ideas I want to throw at it, but the R32 was calling me so...

will be built as a NISMO version when all is said and done-

5 coats tamiya light-gunmetal on top of a couple coats of grey primer. pictures don't do the paint justice. Its my best paintjob yet, baby smooth w/ only 2 small imperfections . after polishing I think it will be real purdy

chk that SAS carbon fiber valve and cam cover

Im thinkin the NISMO LMGT4 rims that come with the R34 VspecII kit. I'd order them from tamiya. open for suggestions, though keep in mind it is a NISMO car so i'd be most fond of a NISMO wheel for this application

update

almost finished so here's an update.

I haven't polished the paint out yet. looks good though, but I will polish and wax when Im done.

Still some work to be done on the engine bay. I haven't done the brakes yet. haven't gotten ahold of the NISMO decals I would like to use. I like the rims for now, but eventually I will switch to LMGT4's. gotta do the GTR badge touch up the molding/window trim etc..

getting close though... let me know what you think.

Re: update

very nice. front wheels look like they're sticking out abit, but it's okay. Looks real good in that grey, especially like with you did with the CF, is that SAS CF, how did you do the CF valve cover? Oh yeah, it needs a CF strut brace, IMO.

*EDIT* Forgot this: On that shot of the rear of the car, I look at it and expect it to lay down rubber and take off like on Car&Driver shows when they do the 0-60mph test.

Re: Progress: NISMO R32 GTR

Nice progress.

If you wanted you can get rid of the connecting tube since you have 2 seperate tubes to your oil catch can. Just a thought..

That's really nice! I love the colour and the CF work is pretty cool! But to best honest, I don't think the wheels fit the car that well....But it's just my opinion
