Tips on 3.8li swap to 460

I work next to an import tuner shop that i used to work at,
Ppl there are constantly harrasing my car.
I recently bought a 1973 ford 460 which is on its way to get
peened & nitrated etc...
all I've bought for it so far, is an EFI intake & C6 street/strip trans.
Any tips on what else i should get
this 460 is going in a mostly stock 99 mustang 3.8 V6 automatic.
also, i've had thoughts on just getting a Demon carb
Help Plz !!!

No tip, just praise. Thank you for putting the 460 into the V6 body, finally the car will have a good engine. I just dont like the Ford 3.8litres. but that's my opinion

Hum, are you sure you know what your getting into? Will that 460 pass emissions on a 99, especially if its carbed? I know for a fact it won't pass visual inspection if their picky in your state. But hey, if it works for ya, then all the power to you! good luck.

If you ever pass inspection your the man!
If it was a 87-93Stang could tell you exactly what to get. But I don't know if anyone makes parts for a 429/460 to put in that year. What you should get if you can find them is custom motor mounts, headers, pulleys, brackets, custom driveshaft(maybe)., bigger radiator, custom front springs, If you want EFI the only intake I can think of is CHP's Spyder. You are also gonna need an aftermarket hood with a 2inch or more raise. And there a ton of other parts just to get it in but that should get u started.
I love Big-blocks but personally with that year car I would just get the new 5.0 cammer motor or a Modzilla block and drop it in. Lot less hassle and money. But if you get that 460 in sweet you will definetly be an original.

Just shift into N when you pass cops and hope for the best. Thats what my dad used to do in the late 70's/early 80's.

hey, 460? well its hell a lot better then a 3.8L... if your a real car guy you won't notice any 'economy' diffrences... like your gas will KILL you, but its well worth it. anyway, you will need, new mounts, new driveshaft, a new transmission (its to small, and the 385 will tear it up in 5 min) actully i could do on for a while but you will noice what you need when you start geting at it. and demon carbs i hear are pretty good, no evidence to back it up though.
oh yeah if you keep stock tires don't think they will last very long hehe
----------
one more thing i forgot i think its illegal to put an old enigne in a new car, but i dunno.. good luck
