Question tips on engine swap in a 99

i've been thinkin about dropin in a 350 or something ..... well anything besides what its got now. i have a standared cab short bed 99 with a 2.2 in it . i know i am allready off to a bad start because it is a 4 banger, so no motor mounts will line up but i have never even heard or seen any one doing it in the newer body styles, so whats up?
i'v got a line on a 305 and also i think on a 350 turbo tranny if that sounds right, i'm not very part smart so i dont know if thats right or not.
so is it worth tryin? thanks for the input
