any tips on possible swap/specs on my motor now?

Hey, I'm new to the board. I drive an 1987 Civic Wagon that was handed down to me. Our original motor blew, and had it rebuilt or replaced like 3 or 4 years ago. It's real old school with a carbeurator and stuff, and I was wondering what the name of my motor was. Also, does anyone know what the cheapest/easiest motor that I can use bolt-on's with is? Thanks a lot, guys.

swapping a carbureted engine is tough you're gonna have to stick w/ another carbureted engine to avoid a hell of alot of work...check out some of the carb setups the european cars had and see what can be swapped onto a USDM engine...a 88-89 teg engine is a bolt-in affair...

I'm pretty sure you have the 1.5 liter EW1 engine(check right above the right headlight for a stamped number on a metal plate, whatever it starts with is your engine number, most likely EW1)

If you are into some heavy work, look into swapping your engine with either the forementioned D16A1(86-89 Integra Motor)
Or the ZC(86-89 JDM Integra Motor)
Which are both bolt-ins, you will need to do MAJOR work to upgrade the fuel systems to support Fuel Injection.

However, for about $500 you can do a Weber Dual Carburetor setup. Which will give you as much power as a ZC engine swap, with less trouble.
It would be sweet to see a Wagon running dual carbs!

It would be kindof a pain to do carb to fuel injection but i think you would thank yourself after you did it and you will be able to do aftermarket things to the Integra motor(D16A1)....not sure if you wanted to do anything but that would be pretty phat to see a civic wagon with I/H/E and some other stuff.
