Too much oil
I change oil on a 1991 olds cutlass 2.5 and I put in 1 quart too many. Does anyone think that is enough to put the crank in oil?

Re: Too much oil
I would drain a quart, because to much oil pressure will cause gaskets to leak.

Re: Too much oil
Oil pressure doens't not change by being overfilled, that is a fixed volume system with a pressure relief valve, the issue is windage from the crank can cause the oil to foam up and air bubbles will not lube internal parts, most engines can stand a slight overfill and this will not happen. But to be safe get it down to the proper level.
