too much oil?
I own a 2000 Integra GS-R with 55000 miles on it...I have mobil 1 synthetic in it with about 2000 miles on it. My oil light came on for literally a second and then turned off while I was driving. So when I got home I checked my oil and it seemed fine but I added some just being a overly cautious bastard. That was about a week ago...my light came on blinking today and then turned off when I came to a stop with the car still on. Then I checked the oil and it was well above the mark. The light didn't come on again until tonight around midnight and it came on like blinking 3 times not in any order or anything and then didn't come on for the rest of the ride home. I checked my oil when I got home and it was well above the mark still. Could it be I have too much oil in my car? I put a white shirt under my oil pan tonight to see in the morning if anything is leaking. Any help would be appreciated. By the way no rough idle or anything car still runs perfectly, vtec still seems to engage fine. One more thing...Also about a week ago my car would make weird clicking noises when vtec was engaging...it wasn't just the regular click it was like a click and then a bunch of little clicks like it was struggling to get into vtec. Now it doesn't do it...im so confused...Any help once again would be greatly appreciated. No major mods just simple bolt on's. Thanks.

Re: too much oil?
You are having some kind of problem with your oil pressure. Check the oilpan for any visual damage. ie: dents etc.

Re: too much oil?
if your light is coming on and you still have plenty of oil:
1. check oil pressure switch and wiring. 2. if that checks out ok, then get an oil pressure gauge. if there is inadequate or no oil pressure, then the oil pump is the suspect.
