It didn't work out in the seafood department, and the car lot is downsizing. So I'm moving back to the dry climate.
I've got health problems here that I won't have there.
I'll be moving close to the border, but still living in Canada. It's easy to get parts from the US when you live by the border and very affordable. Especially now that out dollars are almost the same.

I am proud to say that one of my photos is featured on altavista.com's video gallery.
I don't know how they could mistake a .jpg as a .wmv but I'm willing to live with it
This is the pic

and you'll also see it on this page
http://www.altavista.com/video/results?q=scenery&mvf=mpeg&mvf=avi&mvf=qt&mvf=msmedia&mvd=all
It links up to the web page that I made up for my mom's business (which is where I store several of my pictures)
I've never submited the picture to any search engine, so I don't know how they got it. They've never offered my any royalties :headshake not that I care, but I do wish that they would have notified me
Oh, thay's my only boat, and I love the little thing

The oil was like milk, and they had the rad all full of Bars Stop Leak. I'm suprised that they heater core wasn't plugged

Just a quick question about careers in photography.
I'm getting frusterated in the car lot with lack of customers even walking through. As a result I'll be trying something else.
As some of you have probably figured out I love camaras, and everyone seems to like my pic's (Even though I usually just luck out :grinyes:)
Has anyone here tried taking pic's for a living?
Did you like it, and did it pay the bills?
And what school would you recomend going to for the training?
Thanks

I take pics for a living. Video and still photography. You can make a living out of it, although it can be a pain in the behind. All depends on what you are doing.
Wedding, can be lucrative, Models, same. It's all how much you enjoy doing what you do. It's not work, it's fun. Liek everything it has it's ups and downs, best place to learn is to work for a photography store. Or have an uncle who was a fashion photogrpher to teach you the ropes. There are a lot of user groups for photography, for your type of cameras, etc.

Technical ? and i need some quick answers on it.
While on interstate today car ran up to 220 which in traffic is normal for the cutlass but it climed to 240 the last digit before going into red.
What can be causing it?
I have new thermostat in it, coolant level is full in the filler neck,(nothing in my overflow, i can't keep nothing in it because it pukes out) and i got new overflow cap. Can not get a flat radiator cap for it because i can not find one yet. I have been letting it run last few days with rad cap open at idle to get air out but there appears to be none coming out. What can i do?

They had a thing about different products that are used to increase gas mileage. what they busted were fuel line magnets, ACETONE, 300mpg carberator, and a hydrogen internet fuel cell they got off the internet.

Although I'll believe my own tests with acetone more than theirs on my own vehicle.
The articals even say that it doesn't work on every car, and it apatantly works better in some fuels than others as well.

Ok i changed out the thermostat this morning and that solved the problem with the overflow.
Got 29mpg going between 55-75 on interstate and then a run from New Market over the Edinboro gap into Luray then up to Warrenton then to Manassas then home through country roads in maryland before hitting 81 below hagerstown.
Only problem is it has no OD so 3500 RPM all the time.
Problem 2 is itll peak when warm like 220-240, we dont think fan is running all the time like it should when it gets that hot, so im gonna change it out with the LS1/LT1 dual fan off a camaro along with were going to run some dryer tubing from the airdam into engine compartment.
me happy with that gas mileage.Heading into Va it was like 35-37 before mountains and city traffic killed me.

Shawn, There's a thermal switch somewhere that turns on the fan.
They're usually about $35.00 Canadian, so probably about $20.00 there.
Replace that and your set, or you can run a jumper wire which'll keep the fan going the full trip.
Sorry I don't know where it is on your car, but looking for the switch by the thermostat housing is a good start. The parts store can probably help you locate it in their books.
I hope that your having a good trip, and I'm looking forward to seeing the pic's

Well it looks like very few of us were contributing anything to the S10 Joke thread, so I've given up trying to keep it going.
Their loss!
I thought that this one was cute
A horse and a chicken are playing in a meadow. The horse fall's into a mud hole and is sinking. He calls to the chicken to go and get the farmer to help pull him out to safety.
The chicken runs to the farm but the farmer can't be found. So he drives the farmer's BMW back to the mud hole and ties some rope around the bumper.
He then throws the other end of the rope to his friend, the horse, and drives the car forward saving him from sinking!
A few days later, the chicken and horse were playing in the meadow again and the chicken fell into the mud hole. The chicken yelled to the horse to go and get some help from the farmer.
The horse said, "I think I can stand over the hole!" So he stretched over the width of the hole and said, "Grab for my 'thingy' and pull yourself up." And the chicken did and pulled himself to safety.
The moral of the story:
If you're hung like a horse, you don't need a BMW to pick up chicks.

Did find online that sometimes with the iron dukes the fan wont turn onto 225 degreess with the water temp but it should have been running when we got in and it was 240.

Mike, I don't know how cold it gets there these days, but if it isn't too cold you might want to get a piece of copper tubing the same size as the heater core tubes and just bypass it for now. Have the cpooer tube bent to a U shape so it's easy to have both lines going in it without any kinks
As long as it's fixxed before you need the heater again you should be fine with this temp fix

A fireman was working on the engine outside the station when he noticed a
little girl nearby in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the
sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle. The girl was
wearing a fireman's helmet. The wagon was being pulled by her dog and her cat.
The fireman walked over to take a closer look. "That sure is a nice fire
truck," he said with admiration. "Thanks," the girl replied. The fireman
looked a little closer and noticed the girl had tied the wagon to her
dog's collar and to the cat's testicles.
"Little Partner," the fireman said, "I don't want to tell you how to run
your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I
think you could go faster." The little girl replied thoughtfully, "You're
probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren."

Rods are still a days drive away from here (to expensive to transport unless the movve's permant), as soon as I'm back there I'll be trying some of those $50.00 paint tricks.
Due to the insane cost of fuel one of them might have a Ford 3.8L V6 (used in the T-bird and I believe some 6 cylinder Mustangs) dropped in instead of the 5.0L V8. I like those motors now that I've driven a few
