200 dvds for 60.00, 10pk of dvd cases 2.99. i love microcenter. IMO they have the best deals around. if anyone's interested http://microcenter.com im not sure how many of you spent time working/ upgrading computers, but definintely a cool place to go to. the stores are great, always good deals on blank CD's, DVD's, harddrives, monitors, about anything you need.

this is what i was talking about in my post earlier about opting out

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/alerts/optoutalrt.htm
https://www.optoutprescreen.com/?rf=t
But there is an easy solution. It’s an 800 number offered by the three major credit bureaus. If you call 1-888-5-OPT-OUT, you can keep those bureaus from passing along your credit information to banks and credit companies.

hope that these really work.

I see you have a diesel topaz and i can not find no diesel cars.

You got any kind of list lets say pre 1997 with what cars came with a diesel engine?

OverBoardProject
05-22-2006, 11:25 PM
How'd you like a 85 1/2 Diesel Escort for about $700.00 Canadian Shawn?
I haven't seen it yet, but I now where there is one.
It's actually $200.00 Canadian + it needs a re-built starter. (Make sure that it's Bosch) http://replacement.car-stuff.com/parts/carstuff/wizard.jsp?year=1986&make=FO&model=TEMP-GL-001&category=F&part=Starter&returnurl=null&dp=true&showdc=true#top

There's a big problem, it's basicly in Vancouver. I would of course make arangments to meet you then.

VW's were ok then, the Ford cars had the same motor as the Mazda 626 diesel. Chevy had the Chevelle. Both Toyota and Nissan had a version back then.

The Ford and of course Mercury products were the most refined versions at the time. Came with heated fuel lines and everything.

OverBoardProject

Your limited to a newer VW for the auto.
You might be able to find a nice mercedes for a good price, and their Diesel motors are incredable. I forgot all about them.

Parts are more, but they rarely need any work done, so it probably all evens out in the end

Blazee,
I think that you giving magnum3456 a short holiday was about the best thing that you could have given him.

My Diesel Topaz has a mind of it's own :eek7:
Last weekend I was suposed to go out with another woman that I didn't want to see, and my car started acting like either the starter or battery were packing it in (they both act the same on the mileage Queen)
For some stupid reason it started acting the way it should right after I backed out
I can't call it Herby, but I'm starting to think that after owning it for 5+ years she might deserve a name to match her attitude :smokin:

On a side note, I just spent a few hours trying to buy a new air filter for her. It's obsolete, and now impossible to buy.
However the Ford dealer was nice enough to spend some time going through their entire collection of air filters for a suitable alternative.
I even tried getting a K&N when I found out that they were discontinued.
It was so dirty that it feels like I've got another 10 hp out of it

mike1224
05-27-2006, 01:27 AM
lol Ford'll screw ya like that. next time *think chevy* hahaha

OverBoardProject
05-27-2006, 01:45 AM
My car hasn't even been produced for 20 years, and to be perfectly honest it's the only part that I've ever found to be obsolete.
I've also never seen a Chevy dealer go through as much trouble as the Ford dealer did today.
Napa tried finding it but wouldn't take the filter in to compair it to the others.
And Fram doesn't make it any more, so I couldn't get it from our other big parts chain Lordco.

Now that I have a current Ford part number I should be fine next time.

It was $60.00 from the dealer and the book price in Napa would have been around $10.00 for the origional :eek7:

mike1224
05-27-2006, 01:53 AM
well at least you got the current part number.
it was damn busy at work today. I barely had time to take pinches of my Skoal. And thats the main thing keeping me sane and calm.
I tried calling in since i woke up feeling crappy, but was told I needed a doctors note (so im out the 125 for the day, plus 20 for doctors visit). I could understand if i was a habitual caller-in-sick but im not.

OverBoardProject
05-27-2006, 02:48 AM
free doctors visits here in Canada :p Plus affordable medication.

I'll never be required to get a doctors notice to take time off of work. I declare the fact that I've broken my back during my interview, and if they don't like the fact that I might need the odd day off here and there then they just lost a good worker.
If they take the time to call up my former employeers they'll find out that I still do a weeks work in 2 good days.
In all reality even though I've had to take 1/2 this week off, but I still got 5 or 6 cars running and ready to sell.
And that wasn't just replacing batteries, it was troubleshooting fuel injection problems and ignition problems then fixxing them.

Good thing for the search feature on AF for some of those problems
