P.S. SNELL WILL NOT TEST FLIP-FRONT HELMETS AS OF SNELL M2000 testing!!!! In fact, I think they only test full-face helmets, but I may be wrong on that. They might test 3/4 helmets, but since I don't want my face gettin messed up, I only look at "true" full-face helmets.
Z: I'd prefer to teach algebra, trig, or other maths like that. Maybe linear algebra. I hate calculus and abstract algebra, so I hope not to teach them. Speaking of which, if anyone knows of any districts ANYWHERE looking for 7-12 math teachers next year, let me know! ;)

Whoa, I completely agree. Most Northerners come down here to beat the cold. Where as I despise the constant 80-100 degrees F. I've been pushing my parents ever since I can remember to relocate up North. But they like the tropical climate. I hate not having a winter. The only positive side to it now is one can ride motorcycle all year long. And of course, the all year long access to beaches and water sports.

I've got alot of respect for anyone who can stick it out at the tertiary level of maths. tangie, i wish you'd post more often. you crack me up. my wife is so jealous. lucky she can't see your taco!
anyhoo, lyndon, i went to the bike shop this morning and looked at some gear for you. basically price wise from least to mid price, Lazer helmet not good, KBC better but i really liked the HJC AC11 for the money. RRP of $499. it fit me well with no obvious annoyingness (i just made up that word)
saw a good Suomy jacket that was half leather and half Gortex that was ok for the money but nowhere near the quality or style of the Alpinestars.
my guy said that if you work out what you want he will ship it to you free of charge and you'll pay my discounted price (mates rates). this could be good but you could probably get similar discounts yourself and develop a relationship with a shop for future discounts.

Tech talk:
What is positive neutral finder?
Positive Neutral Finder is gear box technology developed by Kawasaki which simplifies finding neutral while at a stop.
If you are at a stop just shift down all the way to first gear and the next shift up will always be Neutral.
My question is how is it any different than most bikes? When you shift all the way down, it's obviously first gear, and then shift up, it's N, 2, 3, etc. And then switching from neutral to 1st gear is down, but to go back up is shift up twice.

This reply is from the thread 'witness to accident' regarding kiddies in beemers....
Not sure about your yankee rules but down under, once you're off your learners permit, you go to a provisional licence ('P' plater).
You can then drive unsupervised to a max speed of 100kmh or 60mph.
Most kids (17yr olds) either buy their own shitboxes like Ford Escorts (pre 80's) Ford lasers or worse Geminis. Some can afford better cars but insurance is a killer. Nissan Pulsar's and Toyota Corrolla's are popular for small cars or the most popular larger car is the Holden Commodore. Think family car, four door sedan that has its own race series down here. then you get the wankers in mummy or daddy's car's. Around me that means either BMW 3 series or a 4WD tank. due to inexperience they tend to want to race anything on the road.

Z1000? Just as a note, it's a bit downgraded from the ZX-10R, so the latter would kick ass and handle better. But if it's the uncoventional yet sexy look of the naked you want, make sure you get a bigger windscreen for the 1000.

While joyriding before I headed for campus on Tuesday, I saw a kid, probably 18-22 driving around in his new, black Ferrari 360 Modena with xenon headlights. He had the window rolled down. Surprisingly enough, he was following the legal speed limit, so I got a real close look at the car from the side, back, front, in my rear view mirror. And I had to envy, I like many others going to college for pursuit of whatever, and this kid already had it made.
If ever I make that much money doing whatever, I'd probably be passed my prime, and definitely be above 35. Life is a bitch. So I had a clash of values, what was more important to me? Bust my balls all my life just to get a hot car? But neither am I so bent on wasting my life just to make some money that I can't keep when I die.
So I figured patience is a virtue, my next probable bike could decimate that Ferrari everyway in terms of performance. HEHE.
But Ferrari is a Ferrari, damn I wish I win a lottery.
Moral of the story: sell drugs!

is it worth having really nice things if some crackhead is going to kill you over it. or worse you live and your family is traumatised for life.

My remorse sentiments to the family. I always thought we had it bad, for instance, people got killed over $5 bucks or pack of beef jerky.
Anyway, Hurricane Frances is coming for us, hehe.

Sorry to interject, folks, but as a 39 year old, I found this amusing.
Age really does not matter when it comes to 'prime' Its attitude and physical condition. Besides the chicks dig guys with a positive attitude and some dough, even if they are old farts.
Ferraris are for egocentric posers with too much money and not enough imagination. Bikes share a trait with snowmobiles, fine guitars and hunting frearms. The best ones made are within the financial reach of the average reasonably-paid person.
So I figured patience is a virtue, my next probable bike could decimate that Ferrari everyway in terms of performance. HEHE.
But Ferrari is a Ferrari, damn I wish I win a lottery.

Update: My parents and I are literally homeless/workless thanks to Hurricane Frances. I'll post a longer explanation later, but for obvious reasons, I won't be here for days to come.
