"As goofy as they look, don't discount the advantage of those two extra doors accessing the WRX's very useable rear seat."
"One could easily argue the STi is the better all-around car. It's just as quick at the dragstrip, faster around the road course, and costs less"
"The Cobra is far more challenging to drive hand around corners than the forgiving all wheel drive STi. We also found the Cobra's heavily bolstered leather wrapped seats to be uncomfortable compared to other Mustangs we've driven.
"Considering it's traction disadvantage, in a street race with the STi, the Cobra would probably lose."
where did you get that from i want to read it! Quarter [email protected]@100.5mph seams kinda wierd, how often does thtat happen? i believe it, but so close times but such different speeds is not something ive seen to many times.

Cobras were never ment to be road cars, but thay do the 1/4 mile rather well, and to your .01 win BFD, it really proves nothing. Cars are usually a preference thing, either you like American or you like Imports, and it doesn't really matter what you like or what I like. I could show you 100 reasons to buy American muscle, and you could do the same for Imports, but would it really matter in the end, I'm not going to go out and buy an Import, and your not going to go out and buy American. So it really becomes quite pointless. Besides theres no point to come to the muscle car forum and discuss the Jap stuff.
thats right.
thats right.

the reason i said to LEAVE THE MUSCLE CAR FORUMS AND LEAVE! is b/c all you are doing is starting arguments, go to the rally forums or mitsu ones. im really getting sick of this. :flipa: to you Jared for your gay arguments.

Thats because not many people compare muscle cars to imports.
The difference in speeds comes from traction. The STI obviously got traction off the line, while the cobra didn't. So, the 60 foot times for the cobra are worse, meaning the 1320 time will be worse. If the cobra had traction, the short times would change and the 1320 times would change a lot. If the cobra had the same 60 foot times as the STI, the cobra would be in the 12's-because the Cobra is the faster car!

ah, i now think i got it now. thanks  id take the cobra over the STi but this proves they are both great performance cars.

Let dimwhit anwser for himself, and there is a big difference between a carbarator and a fuel injuction unit especaly when you are tweeking them. I can understand that people can slip up but I think that he just does not know a car from a hole in the ground, he should go and join the poser ricers, they are even less informed than he is.
Allow me
Yes jackass I know that heres a difference between a carbburetor, and BTW it's spelled (Carburetor), as I've said learn how to spell, carburetion is a general term used to describe a type of induction, and I do know that the tweaking methods are different. I tweaked a fuel injection unit on a 1960 Vette before you ever existed. You were still just a twinkle in your daddys eye.

Oh and since you've determined that the 1/4 mile is not a measure of real performance, why do you keep talikng about it dumb fuck.

My hell your really proving that your the samrt one here huh, I've owned auto restoration shops for the past 10 years jackass, I've made more money rebuilding cars then you ever will, and I'm not a back woods, no shoe wearing, inbread, illiterate little boy that can't stand to lose an argument, I on the other hand can admit to a loss of an argument, and theres no way possible, short of arguing from my grave that I could lose to an armchair engineer like you. Go back to your lazy boy and watch more of those Import shows. You obvously know nothing about American muscle cars. Oh BTW for those of us who think we know more then all the automotive engineers at all the factories, I bet they can spell (CARBURETOR) correctly. Like I said go back to school and learn how to spell before you go saying that your smarter then most engineers jackass. Oh and BTW idiot, did you figure that fuel injection was a new invention, and possibly none of the muscle car boys had ever heard of it, once again your wrong.

Here we have an idiot trying despratly to prove that he's got a brain in his head. Whitch to this point he has not done, to answere why he doesn't just leave the muscle car forum. Well he by some stretch of his limited immagination thinks he's the smartest car person ever to grace the earth, when the truth is my dog is smarter then him. If he had 50 lifetimes he would never prove his intellegence to a single person, this would be a sign of a person that thinks he has to be at the center of every argument, what I don't understand is why if you lose every last argument would you think that your the best at it lol. :banghead: He said repetadly that he knows more then most of the enineers at the car factories, it could be just a bloated ego talking LOL. BTW any time you try to prove how smart you are by showing everybody what a big idiot you are, you lose. :thefinger Oh and by the way, since your so smart, what country incorporated the first fuel injection on an automotive engine. I know the answer, and it's not the Japs "Hint".

Carburetion is a general term, it means any kind of induction. It doesn't mean that a vehicle has a carburetor.
By the way
A 13.06 is not all that braggable, now if you talk about 1 sec less, then we get to the fast zone IE braggable. And as you so elequently put it, the 1/4 mile is not a real test of performance, I think the only people that would say that are people just like you, who have no idea about it. I agree that handling is a part of performance, but allow me to expound on that, a 1/4 mile car is built to run for 1320 feet in a quick manner, and therefore the suspension is tuned to do this and the car will handle very well at high speeds in the 1/4 mile. Now the point behind what I'm saying is this, if I were to set up my chassis and suspension to go out road racing then I could handle the corners well. A 1969 Z/28 BTW cornered at .95G and that's mighty close to to your crap, to get slalom specs you's have to go take it on the slalom course and test it, because I haven't been able to find those specs yet. The point here is racing is racing, different races put the car to different tests, but all of it nomatter what you think is a test of a cars performance.

The only reason he came here is to start a bitch-fight anyway.
Being as how
Well being as how he is just a little bitch, he should know how to do that rather well, even though he knows nothing about American muscle cars. Of course he claims that adter 10 to 15 years in the restoration business that I no nothing about muscle cars, hhhmmm why am I still owning shops then. I was building muscle cars when he was still a puddle of jizz running down his mom's leg.

It is only annoying because you know that I am right. :sunglasse
No not true
It's annoying because I know your wrong, and just to damn stupid to admit it. I know that people like you are never wrong, it's become quite eveident to me that you either don't know how to read, or just can't. When I prove thing to you, you always have to argue, you even argue with the facts. Since your a magazine racer, I went to the trouble to put up the facts as printed in PHR, CC, C&D, and any other publications that I could find, even the places that you sent me, I got the facts for the Z06 Vette off of one of your sites, and that proved you wrong, but then you attack price, and America doesn't have to sell it's muscle for cheap we never have, and still plenty of people buy it. The price is no argument for a race car jackass.

I don't normally like to step in, but it seems this thread has become a shouting match between just a few members. Although there are a few flashes of valid points, most of it is just back and forth name calling. I mean, really, 23 pages of this stuff! Remember, although we all have our own opinions, we should try to be civil here in this forum. This thread is closed.
