ARTA NSX 2005 - Tamiya - 1/24
This is my new build as you may guess it is Honda again. The model is curbside with very simplified suspension and chassis.
Mold quality is top level however there are some ejector pin marks in very uncomfortable places. It is especially visible in the interior. I will use Tamiya etch set and add some carbon decals, nuts and bolts. So, I hope the it will be very nice model. ![]() ![]() Rims, brakes and wheel hubs - sanded, puttied and ready for a primer ![]() Simplified suspension ![]() I dulled screw holes in the chassis to "de-toy" it a bit. ![]() Rims painted with Gunze Super Gold (Gunze Super Metallic) ![]() Last edited by Macio4ever; 11-11-2010 at 04:58 PM. |

Re: ARTA NSX 2005 - Tamiya - 1/24
you seem to love NSXs as much as I do.
I prefer the pre-facelift car in terms of its looks but I'm still looking forward to seeing this one finished and for more to come.

That's true - I love them. It is possible that I will do combo with Raybrig..

Last update for today...
Suspension is done as well as the brakes. I need to put some decals on calipers and weather brakes to underline details. ![]() ![]() |

Re: ARTA NSX 2005 - Tamiya - 1/24
Carbonizing has been started... Decals react very well to Microscale, I use S27 Decal A (part of interior) and SMS 1024 for chassis. I will darken it and paint with 2K clear.

Re: ARTA NSX 2005 - Tamiya - 1/24
Whole underbody is already decaled. I have darken it with TS-71 and unfortunately some discolorations have appeared
![]() Red arrow shows problematic area. I will have to do sth with that. ![]() I put rims decals. Decals are printed by Cartograf and they are simply fantastic in terms of printing quality and how easy thay lay down on the model. ![]() ![]() I have noticed that panel with switches (ignition ect) is a decal. It is another Tamiya simpification. I will create all switches from scratch and use labels from the decal. ![]() |

Suspension mounted using screws and dry fitted with body. Wheels dry fitted only. They will have Bridgestone logo painted on tommorow. Spent about 40 minutes to remove release agent from tires which was particulary resistant.
