1/12 modern kits?

I would like to know all the 1/12 kits.

I really like big scale car kits, but i don't like skyline R32's :-)

Re: 1/12 modern kits?

Well I don't know all of them but Tamiya has reissued the 935 and several F1 cars in 1/12. I don't know of any street cars but there are quite a few race cars. A search of 1/12 scale should help you.
I just completed Trumpeter's GT40:

Re: 1/12 modern kits?

There are also the 1:12 NSX by the now defunct Rosso. That kids pops up on Ebay from time to time, but it is very costly. Prices push $400 nowadays on Ebay.

There is a 1:12 RX-7, I believe by Hasagawa. It's supposed to be a great kit, but I don't know how hard or easy they are to find.

Doyusha (?) made a 1:12 Honda S600. It's apparently not as hard to find as the NSX, or expensive.

Doyusha also made a 1:12 Lamborghini Countach.

That's all I remember.

Re: 1/12 modern kits?

Spotted on Ebay

Protar boxed Ferrari F40
Tamiya Mini Cooper
Tamiya 240Z Rally
Entex/Doyusha Mercedes 450 SLC

From Doyusha's little leaflet in their kits.
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Pontiac Firebird Transam
Ford Mustang Mach 1
911 Turbo
BMW 3.5 CSL
Mercedes 450SL
Honda S800
Lancia Stratos Alitalia
Lancia Stratos Pirelli
Lamborghini Countach LP400
Lamborghini Countach LP500S

As you can see, none of these are what you'd call modern and it isn't that extensive a range.
If you're after bigger scale modelling, you might have better luck looking at 1:16 but to be honest, the number of kits in that scale isn't great either.

Are you looking for kits of only modern cars, or kits that are modern? Check my sig for 1/12 Corvettes and Camaros that build up pretty nice IMO.

Re: 1/12 modern kits?

There are several out there but it depends on what you consider "modern". I've got a Rosso Honda NSX F1 GP Car, Hasegawa Mazda RX-7 Twin Turbo, Hasegawa Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo, and Revell Ferrari F2002 just to name a few "modern" ones. Older kits I have are the Tamiya Datsun 240Z (ZG and race rally versions), Revell F40, and the Fujimi Nissan GT-R R32s.

Most 1/12 kits are going to be older cars. Probably since the demand isn't really there anymore? You might want to try this seller on ebay (http://toys.shop.ebay.com/Models-Kit...=p3911.c0.m282). They've got quite a few 1/12 resin kits but be prepared and expect to spend BIG $$$. You have to pay to play with the big stuff.

I have a Revell (I believe of Germany) Ferrari Testarossa in 1/12 scale.
