Re: AFMOTY 2007 Comp
When I changed the image quality so that the file size is within 150Kb for 800x600 size, it resulted in a grainy picture.
Can the rule be adjusted a little so that the 150Kb limit can be increased to somewhere between 220Kb and 250Kb? |

Re: AFMOTY 2007 Comp
The reason the rules have a limit of 150 kb is to keep the size of the thread down. If we have 25 entries at 250kb each then that would total over 6 MB of pictures. Add in all the advertising, signatures and what not and the page size could easily get close to 10 Meg. I think it is reasonable to ask people to be economical with their bandwidth.
There are plenty of graphics programs that can compress the files without losing any significant quality. The rule is the same for everybody. If you are having trouble then post the original pic and I'll help compress it for you. |

Re: AFMOTY 2007 Comp
Yup, I can understand about the bandwidth. I'll try compressing my pic using another graphic program. Failing which, I shall ask for your assistance!

Re: AFMOTY 2007 Comp
Phil,
I will be entering my Lotus 99T as long as I can get it finished on time, if not it will be the Gulf 917K. I will be a little late to the party but I will definately have an entry in, promise!!!

Re: AFMOTY 2007 Comp
Very nice. It seems that the threat of not having a comp after all, a couple of people will join. I´m excietd to see what I will compete against...For myself I shall see this as a AF-Yearbook 2007.

Re: AFMOTY 2007 Comp
Sorry Gio. I usually cut and past screen names to avoid just that sort of finger trouble. But I screwed up this time.

Re: AFMOTY 2007 Comp
Cool Gio.
I was looking at that list and correct me if I'm wrong but I think three members have been in every AFMOTY from the start. Namely Hawk312, hrmodeler and Tonioseven. Quite an achievement guys. And while I'm away Stevenski (klutz_100) has kindly agreed to be the point of contact for any questions that may arise. Entries can still be PMed to me and I'll confirm when I return. |

I remember back in the day when this first started, there was only one forum, "Car Modeling". No "Work in Progress" or "Completed" subforums. I wonder if that is why entries are down (again). Quote:
Maybe this needs to be a sticky in the subforums? Thanks for you work Rally! |
