1 bolt to take off the cam gear, take out the valve train (couple bolts and it will all pull out, pull out the cam from the head, put new one in, then do the reverse to install. Its like a 30 minute job.

Isn't there a way if I don't put the new cam in exactly right that I could mess the timing all up?

There are like a "--O-" looking notch on the Dist side and a "-" notch on the cam gear side. It only goes on one way, you couldn't bolt it in wrong even if you wanted to.

Of course this would happen to me....i acutally try to do something on my own, I broke 2 sockets trying to get the cam gear bolt off...wow.
Its just a cheap $5 set anyway-I guess I need to run and get a good one and try again. |
