Post Note to self: Always unplug electrical appliances before working on them.

Yep, thats right. I needed to open up my dryer, and collect all the money that had fallen in it. I would not have done it if there was only petty change in there. Bu somehow a $20 bill made its way in there.

So, I opened it up, and was trying to let the front cover down. When I noticed it was attached to a switch. So, being the dumbass that I am, I grabbed that switch, and pulled. Well, the damn thing decided to bite back

Holy shit, that sucker shocked the hell out of me. My damn arm still tingles right now

So, the lesson for the day. Always unplug electrical equipment before tearing them apart. :silly2:

Wouldn't a simpler lesson be to check your pockets before you do laundry?

Hope your arm stops tingling soon...

Yikes - I'll bet you yanked back in a hurry !

I can remember the electric fence that ran around our barn, where we had a few beef calves chewing up the grass. I had a few jolts off that thing - but I bet it's nothing compared to the Clothes dryer .

Don't clothes dryers have a huge plug on them too (meaning more juice inside)?

I'm well known for "money laundering"... not of the illegal variety, but doing just as KB did... :hehe:

As for getting a little jolt, I always manage to keep the money in the washer and within an arm's length

Maybe KB can pick up another Mod spot as mod of those with electric personalities.... :right:

PS--KB---I do hope your arm ceases its tingling soon.... otherwise it might hinder your typing abilities :kiss on cheek:

Well, the electric dryers do, but mine is a gas. So it has a normal plug, for the little stuff.

LOL, tell us more stories Heep. I remember when I was little I stuck my finger in an open socket to see what it did. It was fun until my finger was sore. Licking batteries is also always a smart thing to do.

*lol* In 8th grade my graduating class was a masochistic group...

First came "penburns" This is when we took ball point pens (Bic preferably) and ran the tips back and forth on the desk until the friction made them literally hot enough to burn flesh.

Then we got laptops to learn how to type, and everyone decided it was fun to take the laptop end of the charger plug and stick it on the end of their tongue for a little thrill...

What can I say? The Class of 2000 isn't as special as everyone thought... or maybe we were "special" as in that way and not the other way...

in school they try to scare us so much about electricity... especially in computer engineering last year. They tell us we're gunna die if we touch any electricity (well not any, but that's what it seems like)

People in my Auto class grab both of the spark plug testors and get a nice shock

also in exit wounds (i think it was) all those cops are seeing who can last the longest standing being shocked..... who's seen it?
