switching out my S1 5th gear to an LS 5th gear... ?
thinking about switching out my S1 5th gear to an LS 5th gear... ? what years LS do i pull this from? 90-93? any write ups on this? why not RS or GS? what should I look for?
gear ratios: S1: 0.848 S1 (LS): 0.742 RPMs for each? how do I calculate this? I want to know RPMs at 65, 75, 85 mph. i drive a lot of freeway and 5th gear kills me... thanks. brian

answered half of my question. looks like its worth it effort to lower the RPMs about 1000 @ 85 mph.
