5th and 6th gear problem
my car grinds going into 5th and 6th but it doesnt grinde going from 6th to 5th whats wrong?

Maybe your throw out bearing or the Y fork isn't functioning as it should ? You can go get the transmission ( well , inspection plate removed and looked at ) for free. THen they might be able to tell you. As long as it doesn't take over 30 minutes for them to do it should be free. Common amongst most mechanic shops. I had the similar problem with my S-10 but it was all gears and my throw out was blown and the fork was tweaked.

like he said, if the throwout is bad then your tranny may still be spinning when you try to shift, cuz the clutch hasn't completely released
