So...yesterday I was at the junkyard getting a cruise control system for my car. I pulled one off a 1990 (manufacture date 6/90) LX sedan. While under the hood pulling cables and stuff, I noticed the engine looked a little different than what I was used to seeing under my hood. I looked at the engine code and it was a D15Z1. WTF???
![]() Getting the pedals out of the car was a major bitch. I had to rip the dash out and drop the steering column to get to all the bolts - But now I got it! - for $30...Also...there are a shitload of 90-93 Integras (about 5 or 6) there if anyone wants to drive to Slower Maryland and get a rear-disc setup - I plan to go back when I have a whole day off to get one of them too

D15Z1 1.5 16V SOHC VTEC-E PGM-FI 1493 92hp@5500rpm 97tq@4500rpm '92-'95 Civic VX (USA)
Is that what it is? It's the only D-series motor with a Z in it. Flunky PS-Only 92 HP? WTF? |

Ah..i see...I didn't have the 92-95 VX business...It still had the stock DPFI stuff...so I guess they bolted the non-OBD intake manifold to the d15z1 block....
I shoulda snapped a pic..actually..i did...I'll have to get it off the camera...not a close up tho so it prolly won't help..I was just curious what the deal was
