:flash: I was driving down the interstate today and my gas pedal stopped working. I had to have my 1995 Ford Ranger towed. When I checked it, the bracket that my gas pedal attaches to pulled out from the firewall. I did not see any screws or bolts laying in the floor. There are three holes in the firewall and two larger size holes in the bracket and on the back of the bracket there are three dark spots that look like there something that might have been attached before. Does anyone know how the bracket is attached. Does it have studs on the back of the bracket with threads or what? I went to the Dealer and they said they show no hardware in the book.
Thanks, Lia

i had the same prob
i had the same problem on my 94 ranger
the way i fixed it was line up the holes on the inside of the cab and drill a hole threw the fire wall i did it in to spots and then have a friend help eather hold the skrew or the nut and there you go just make sure it is lined up were it used to be and the anwser to what hardware held it on i think it was pretty much just like spot welded let me know if that works |
