Custom stand for spraying your car

I just wanna do alittle on my part and share with you my custom made stand.

All you need is about 4 clothe hangars and some wires to secure them and thats it.

It doesnt look good but it I think it helps does the job effectively and its cheap.

PIC1
Shows the full stand with 4 legs and a gripper which springs outward to help grip your car.

The hangar wires are very flexible so if you need to lower it or bend the car towards you, just bend the front 2 legs.
Same if you want the car to bend backwards, bend the hind 2 legs.

PIC2 and PIC3
The gripper.
Just press it inwards and put your car and release. The gripper will spring outward and hold on to the side of the car. If you must, put a masking tape to get a better hold on the inside of the car.

PIC3

PIC4
Showing the gripper holding firmly onto my Opel Holzer.

PIC5
The full view of the stand.

Important things to note is the gripper. As I said, use a masking tape but if you can use something else better, good for you

If you think you can improve on it, do share with us your ideas.

Since I am always 'stealing' ideas from you guys, lets just say this is a small 'payback' on my part hehe

Hey, this spider's not going anywhere and its very sturdy

Anyways its April fool's day. If there some light entertainment along with this, so be it glad you guys are happy poking fun.

But I am curious to know, what you guys use to hold your cars when U wanna spray them?

Great idea on using the clothe hanger.
I use 2 empty spray cans to hold the body for spraying, one to hold at the hood and another to hold at the trunk.

I use an old model rocket launching pad. I take the tripod and the small steel pole and a cap with some velcro on the top--for each angle i need to paint, I put a new piece of velcro on the piece and attach it to the tripod's velcrow. The launcher is adjustable too! It works greeeaaat!

i don't have a digi cam, but will show you when you drop by.
I use a 250ml Gunze thinner bottle with salt water inside and seal the cap. and a blue tack on the cap.

Sure Rtuned, 1 of these when we meet up, show me some of your 'gadgets'

Based on what you guys described I can only imagine but wont the height of the containers be too low?

And what about those who stay in flats? How you guys go about spraying?
