Question 2001 Cav LS Help.

I have a 2001 Cavalier LS it has less then 45,000 km on it. When I hit a high rev it stinks...
As in smells!!!! Any one have this problem before or heard of it.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Is it a rotten egg smell? Don't worry about it, as long as you're not spewing out smoke you're fine.

What causes this smell and is there a way I can get ride of it...
it's horrible and annoying.....

if it's like a rotten egg smell your cat is dead (catalytic converter) and it needs to be replaced.

could have just been a bad cat to begin with, running fuel with to many additives,unburnt fuel making it into the cat, wear and tear (possible but not likely)

cats gennerally are supposed to last anywhere from 50,000 miles to the
life of the car.
