2001 cav. Temperature problem HELP!
well for my cavalier the temp gauge goes 40 90 120 ITS alwayus at 90 but ive been knoticng its creeping up? seems to be while im idleing or not driving constantly? ive been told possible faN? what could be wrong or anything will help thanks!

alot of cavaliers get up to 3/4's and sometimes a little higher before the fan kicks on, just let it sit in your driveway someday idleing and see how high it gets, if it goes all the way into the red, then you have a problem

my 98 is doing that too, but it only does it once in a while. you need a new thermostat.

My '03 temp gauge started going up, then quit. Never overheated. Later, the fuel gauge went wacko. Not thermostat, sensor, etc. Needed whole new dash panel. $1000 at the dealer. Got mine for $500. The mechanic told us he'd see us in about 3 years for another. Common problem on the Cavalier. Want to buy mine?
