Talking Mobbin' around the LBC

Last week I drove the DeLorean all over Long Beach & OC just for the halibut. TerminalV & I rallied over the bridge in Long Beach (aka - the Gone In 60 Seconds bridge), then down Ocean Ave.

I really need a digital camera with night vision... because then I could share the wonderful looks on people's faces

Some people are like:

while others are more like:

Got a few :ylsuper

and a :bandit: from a Diablo owner....

and partied with tha Icy Hot Stuntaz!

Didn't do it on purpose Besides, with TV's mug in the passenger's seat there isn't a whole lot of room for another body (trunk is off-limits due to heat from radiator)!

We arrange somethin' fo the future?

Delorean DMC12 (1979-82)
Production -6500
Body Style - Two Seater Rear-engined sports coupe.
Construction - Y-shaped chassis with stainless-steel body.
Engine - 2850cc or 2.9 liter OHC V6
Power Output - 145bhp @ 5500rpm
Transmission - 5 speed manual or 3 speed auto.
Suspension - Independent with unequal length parallel arms and rear trailing arms.
Brakes - Four-wheel discs
Maximum Speed - 125mph
0-60mph - 9.6
0-100mph - 23.2
EPA - 22 mpg

For its time and even now its still a cool car. It wasn't ever a really quick car, but from personal experiance in riding in DMC12's own Delorean. They're fairly nimble and fun to ride in. Having the V6 right behind your ears is nice, cause it sounds very mean when going through the gears.

Produced 1979 to 1982??? Where did that data come from?! Jeraldo Rivera?:finger: It has a 2.8 litre engine, and supposedly 8,000 were made from 81 to 83.

I can't wait to go to a track & disprove Car & Driver's numbers. I'd say the car does 0-60 in about 5.7 seconds... either that or my speedometer is in desparate need of calibration

hahaha... the years of production came out of a Book. I only wrote what it said. Im not the expert! you are! I just happened to post before you. :P

5.7? So you go as fast as a LT1 Z28 from 0-60?

Yea, what Redneck said...I think your speedo needs some work Don't think the 150hp V6 is driving you to performance V8 territory

hahah... I dont think the Tbird can hit a high 5._ 0-60. Once again its got about 85hp less than a Z28. And lets not forget the Bird is about 300-400lbs heavier.

Also, The Bird hasnt been to the track yet either so Counting Mississippi's doesn't count.

Why not take both cars out to the track? Race them heheh... I unfortunately dont have a car to race, so i'll sit up in the stands with my 72 oz Big Gulp and yell at you as you race by me.

Track is in Irwindale & I am not Also, $300 for a racing helmet seems kinda steep. Maybe someone rents these items?

Haha, Now I didn't say the Bird was slow per say its plenty fast for what it is. Now I know soon as TV see's my post he's going to fire back that his car has some mods and is lighter. True its a tad lighter, but the Z28 still has some 80 odd horsepower over it. Thus the Bird is still at the disadvantage. Once moving it does decent, cause it doesnt have to try to move all that weight.

Why would you need a Helmet? It's not a convertible... and I highly doubt you'll run faster than 11.99. Unless you know something I dont about the tracks?

BTW Irwindale is only a 1/8th mile track. You want to go to Palmdale or Carlsbad. Both are far as piss.
