Removing fabric on door panel? Also, the bezel around the handle?

I'm sanding down the door panels and preping for paint, but can I remove the fabic that's also the armrest? Also can I remove the bezel that surrounds the door handle? If so, am I able to easily put it back on without difficulty? I'm looking behind the door panel and it looks like I'm gonna have to break clip/pin things to get it off.

I was thinking, what are you going to do with the fabric part of the door?? I was thinking about replacing the stock fabric with suede or removing the fabric all together and painting where it was.

i think you can cut the entire piece out and then get it redone and then screw it back on. same with the piece around the handle

You have to cut the little plastic welds around all the pieces, then carefully pull it out because it has a little lip wedged into the door.

The fabric itself you have to just yank off. The hard part is getting all the yellow foamy junk off.

Nope. Just make sure if you use screws you get small ones, or just be careful so you dont accidentally go all the way through.

Re: Removing fabric on door panel? Also, the bezel around the handle?

Okay, here are pics if anyone was curious on this...
The backside of the door panel...

To remove the power locks, you just push in the 2 metal prongs from the inside of the door panel...

Like Tim said...to remove the fabric and handle bezel you have cut or do what I did and just grab a pocket knife and just stab, pry, cut, and just try to annhilate the little plastic welds, (the circle things at the bottom), until the bezel is free....

Then after the bezel is off, you should just be able to remove the fabric piece, it's stuck to the panel with some sort of glue so dont be afraid to give it some oomf.

Final product...
