Dangers Of Modeling!!!

Alright let me tell you all a little story....this one night last summer i was building a model and i went to open a testors paint bottle...well the stupid top was painted shut, so i got myself so plyers and held the bottle and twisted.....ugh stupid me twisted to hard and snaped the bottle in half leaving a nice 3" by 2" gash in between my thumb and pointer fingers...so i ran got a towel because it was bleeding like hell and slowed the bleeding....well i decided that i wasn't going to tell anyone...what a big mistake...i let it go and go untill about 1 week later my sister saw the gash under yhe bandaid while i was swimming(stupid things never stay in water....well she told my mom and since my neihbor is a nurse my mom bought me to her.....well she said it was to late to get stiches and that would have to reopen the cut....so instead she stuck some butterfly thingys on it....well long story short here what it looks like today...

enjoy

Gee, that looks like you have something crawling under your skin :sun: hehe

Anyways, that really gotta hurt alot ouch!

Just hope you didnt get infected. Sometimes what look like a small cut can turn into something big.

Good that you have posted it so as to remind fellow modelers to be becareful always.

Ah. Always open testors glass paint bottles by heating up the cap under warm water.

Lesson well learned, eh?

I've gashed my finger nicely in the past too. Had to keep it under medical bandages for a week or so.

Very nice!

All my modelling scars have been the result of the odd Xacto Blade slipping whilst removing a part from the sprue. REMEMBER! ALWAYS CUT AWAY FROM YOU!
