Exclamation How much should I offer??

There is a 1988 - 91 (91 i think) Civic Hatchback, Si in town here for sale. Kms i dont know yet.

It has:
new paint (red with white flame graphic (dont like the flame, but oh well))
no rust
Eagle Alloy rims and tires (17" 6 poke white)
Ractive Exhaust
CAI
CD Player
Maybe a stereo
clean interior (from what i seen)
clear corners, bumper lights

Hopefully i'll be looking at his car sometime soon with him and taking it on a test drive. Then take it to a mechanic and body shop to check it over. One thing to note, is that he crashed his car and bent the hood, right fender, and bumper. But all seems to be repaired, what i'm worried about is the possibility of any frame damage (would that hit be enough to bend it?).

What should I offer him? Right now he's taking offers and im not sure what would be a good price to ask. I need CANADIAN PRICES, if u put US i could convert but for some reason these cars sell for more in Canada it seems. Insurance payed for the paint or pitched in, and I think he got the rims at cost. I'm guessing roughly around $6000 as an offer. Is that too low/high? Let me see some suggestions guys, I want an EF hatch!

i think with a wreck on its record that 6000 is pretty high. depending on the mileage i would offer maybe high 4s for it if it has over 100k miles.

$6000 for a 12 year old car...with damage?! That is pretty damn steep for that old of a car. I got mine for $1800, and it is a 90, and the only major thing wrong with it is that it needs a little paint job. I would ask something like $2000 or $2500 at the most.
