Escort Muffler
Hi
I have a 96 LX I'm wondering what's the size of the pipe that the muffler is attached to. I'm thinking about installing a performance muffler. Thanks Chris |

Re: Escort Muffler
I can't remember but the parts place should know. There are also many size adapters you can use.

Re: Escort Muffler
Well the most popular size's are 2-2.5inch..but not sure if that applies to the escorts.

Re: Escort Muffler
If you are sure you want to do it then hacksaw the old muffler off and measure it.

Is it easy to replace a muffler without using a blow torch. What would I need to prepare for this project? THanks guys Last edited by chrisanthony; 03-26-2009 at 10:12 AM. |

Re: Escort Muffler
All I used was a hack saw. If you are headed to the parts place to get the new muffler then cut the old one off. You can make the one trip without a muffler. You might also check mufflers at autozone com for your car and see if they list the measurment.
