Escort Muffler

Hi

I have a 96 LX

I'm wondering what's the size of the pipe that the muffler is attached to. I'm thinking about installing a performance muffler.

Thanks Chris

Re: Escort Muffler

I can't remember but the parts place should know. There are also many size adapters you can use.

Re: Escort Muffler

If you are sure you want to do it then hacksaw the old muffler off and measure it.

If i hacksaw the old muffler off, then what I’m i going to use to replace it untill i get the new muffler? lol..i'll measure the pipe side ways and see if it hits the popular sizes above.
Is it easy to replace a muffler without using a blow torch.

What would I need to prepare for this project?

THanks guys

Re: Escort Muffler

All I used was a hack saw. If you are headed to the parts place to get the new muffler then cut the old one off. You can make the one trip without a muffler. You might also check mufflers at autozone com for your car and see if they list the measurment.
