Prog Project: CLKDTM2000 Team Teile

Current Project: Team Teile CLK DTM2000 Mercedes
Brand: Tamiya
Scale: 1/24
Paints Used: Tamiya Enamels, Gunze lacquer based and Gunze metallic coat for steel colour.
Modifications made: Suspensions (my 2nd try at getting the suspensions right) Using zinc wires. Prebend them on a more solid object like a small screw driver and taking them out to fit on the suspensions.
High points of this models: Noted for its decals. Thats why I am trying my hand on this model

As you can see my painting isnt that good yet, still needs alot more training....

1st Pic: Getting the engines to shine and pre-placing them to make sure they fit.

2nd to 4th Pics: Putting in the radiator parts.

3rd Pic: Front view.

4th Pic: Primed and ready for the paint job.

5th Pic: Overall view.

Paint job needs touching so will fine tune whatever needs to be done and keep this thread updated whenever I can.
Any comment/s do post. I welcome all criticism! :smoka:
Any tips will surely benefit me too.

Stay tune!!

Some updated pics and 'illegal modifications made

1)Had to redo the suspensions cos I think they suck (see the above pics)
2)Adding the 'ducts' to run thru the other side of the engine.

1)Pic showing which part I had to modify. Raising the 'exhaust' or whatever hell u call it:

2)Cutting, filing and making the 'springs' for the suspensions:

3)Drilling the both sides to make sure the straw fits loosely. I wanted the straw to move freely in and out so that my wheels can turn:

4)Adding the straw and disc brakes to make sure they fit:

5)Side view:

6)Top view with wheel attached:

7)Cutting, drilling holes thru the 'duct' and painting it:

8)This is what it looks like when its done seen from different views:

9)And not forgetting the rear wheels too:

More to come!
