f22b install costs

that i know of its a direct install, can even use my stock tranny. how much would it cost for installation?

im actually considering getting one. my cars getting up in mileage, and i wont have 4-5k for a h22 for another couple years cause i have too many other bills. but they have f22b's all over ebay for $600. which i wouldnt mind paying for to get a 160hp dohc.

it depends if it's a b1 or b2. the b1 (dx/lx i think) drops right in.

WTF man. An F22b is a Sohc. 130-145hp. Btw, the H22a in most accords runs about 3000 installed. And yes, its OBD-I also.

There was no F22 DOHC, they are only SOHC, they are probably confusing it with the F20.. The F20 came in 4th gen in Japan, and the H22 came in the 5th gen... F20 is basically a destroked H22... I will sell you my F22 for 500, comes with 5spd tranny, ecu and wiring harness...

not quite...

http://www.preludepower.com/phpBB2/v...ic.php?t=12536

and the h22 was not only in the 5th gen, they made it for the 4th gen too.

Well for starters, before you try to correct me, make sure your linking to something repuatable, you linked to another forum where it can't be proven. You will have to find me something more solid to convince me otherwise.

I think your confused!

okay, you want proof?

http://www.vancouvercivics.com/honda_engines.php
http://www.clubcivicquebec.com/site/specs/Specs.htm
http://www.clubel.ca/articles/hondaenginecodes.htm
http://www.geocities.com/honda_club_egypt/engines.htm
http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/tech/swapguide1.pdf <-(you need acrobat reader to view)

i can give you plenty more if you want 'em. but i thought this would be sufficient. get your facts straight before you go saying i'm confused. anywayz...not trying to diss u, just trying to educate.

the 4th gen. j-spec prelude si has the non-vtec, dohc, 160hp engine in it. but you will have to go through a japanese engine importer to get it, because they were never made in the us, that i know of. there is an importer here in Ga that told me they could get me one w/o trans for $850 shipped to my door. but it'll be more for you since you don't live in GA. here's their number:
770-426-5755
but i would recomend going through a company closer to where you live, that is, if you even end up doing this swap. best of luck to you, hope this helps!
