Looking at a firebird

I'm looking at getting a 94 firebird formula, 88,000 miles, automatic tranny, t-tops the pw/pl/ps/pb. The only problem is it has a salvage title on it. I talked with the owner and he told me that that lady he bought it off of was the original owner and she was involved in a very little front fender bender when the car had 7,000 miles on it. It know has 88,000 and he has had no problems with it at all. Hes asking 5,500 cash. Is this a good deal or should I be looking for something else? and should there be anything else I should be checking for?

Sounds like a decent deal. I used to have a 94' Z28 with 94,000 miles & never had a problem with it. All depends on how it was driven. Decent price.
