Will an Eclipse 3520 Amp power a JL 12W3 and a JL 12W1-8 sub? I don't know anything about the amp.

they are designed to take different power levels, play in different boxes, and probably vary quite a bit in their "stats" ......... you can try it out, but you might not be satisfied

ok scratch that, i already have a 12w0-4 and i just bought a 12w1-8. For the time being, can my sub handle both? Will the sound be the same or will it actually get worse?

that's REALLY hard to say, since you are out of the mainstream of most people do. All I can say is try it, make a seperate box for each sub and see how they sound. You can try them individually and then together.

It is a bit of a different way to go, but ya won't know if it will work or not unless you try it.
