Question how about an h22a? what will that do to my civics handling?

ok, heres an idea, i didn't send the $$ for the new engine yet (d16y8 / i do that tomorrow). its 1300 with a warrenty and shippin. i only wanted a small shot of nitrous so i don't get my ass kicked by any geo that rolls by. my main consern with the civic is handling like i had said (b/c of autocross). i was thinkin of saving another 1200 to get an h22a, but i was thinkin that if i put that motor in my car my civics record at solo 2 would go to sh*t since i'd over steer like crazy cuz the weight. what do you guys think of the h22a idea, how bad would my handling be and would a stronger/stiffer front spings fix the problem?

The oversteer in an H22 is not that bad at all I rode in a civic with an H22 and it was not bad at all but if you are going to be doing Auto-X then stay with the Single Cam.

Well since your talking about understeer, not oversteer. And it is noticable, but not unmanageable in a civic. But when talking about auto X,when you swap it bumps you up into a class that is going to eat you alive.Even if you swap a B series in you still get bumped up.If your talking about your local events, then you can probably swing it,but still the H isn't a good choice for auto X.Honestly a stock CX with good suspension and a good driver will smoke a H22 civic's ass in autoX,so stick with your D.

You can get a good amount of power out of a D series anyways my z6 pulls pretty damn good. I say keep it all motor and build it up a little bit.

You got it infact I am going to be ordering LSD for my Single Cam this paycheck. I am also getting a 6-puck and a Chromoly flywheel. Then I am going to be working on getting the head done over but I am putting a y8 head on those are much better for all motor Single Cams.
