Hello All ... Looking for some advise is anyone has any to offer.
I bought a used '92 Accord and have been having this vibration problem that I can't quite put my finger on, as to exactly what might be causing it. There is a mild vibration at idle. This mild vibration only happens after the car has been driven for a bit. The funny thing is ... when the engine is first turned over in the morning its fine .. only after driving for a bit. I've replaced the spark plugs (which were well out of spec), dist cap, rotor and have just today added fuel system cleaner (expensive). Anyhow ... after this tune-up there was an improvement .. but not to my satisfaction. The vibration is mild yet quite annoying while idling. Any insight? Thanks, Al |

I have an 89 Accord, and I was getting the same thing. It turned out to be bad motor mounts. I had mine replaced, and the vibrations went away. Turns out that my old ones were pretty shot. A good way to see if this is the problem is to put the car in netural at idle...if it goes away, then that's most likely the cause.

Hey nitin24 .. thanks for the advice. I've tested with the car both in and out neutral ... makes little difference. Do you still think that this might be part of it?
Thanks in advance, Al |
