Auto 2 Manual Conversion

Anyone have any experience with this or has had it done? wondering what kind of labor is involved and if there is any sites with information on it, got over 120k on my tranny and i think it's gonna go sometime soon, looking for a possible swap in the future, and info would be appreciated

I had a friend who did it to his Del Sol. He got a new wiring harness, tranny, tranny mounts, ecu, gauges, interior, shift linkage, and all that other fun stuff involved. When it was all done he he wished he had just sold his car and bought a 5 speed. He said it was a huge waste of money compared just buying a 5 speed Del Sol.

im having that done right now actually....its really not to much if you get the whole engine swap with tranny and axles...linkage....its just cutting through the fire wall and getting a pedal set and master/slave cylinders from a manual civic....now if your just getting the tranny and making it 5 speed...then its a pain the ass...you need a lotta little stuff that the swap would already have in it...best bet...get a swap...its worth it....im going from my d16 to B16 jdm SIR...should get it back this weekend...cant wait!

Actually he never bought new gauges ... just put black electrical tape over where the auto tranny stuff was. I hated all those guys from our high school though ... all of em had AEM CAI's and no other mods and all thought they were pimp shit, and then they go and make fun of my car which actually had exhaust and an engine swap.
