Shift Knob ?

Hey there, I was wondering if anybody knew how to get the shift knob off of a 2002 s10 ext. cab.. im not sure its possible .. i have tried everything. if anybody has been able to do it please let me know. thanx

you know i just took the knob off like you have pictured but that doesn't get the actual knob off. do i need to replace the whole thing when shaft and all to change the knob? ..thanx
