I do own one and it more go than show. Still standard looking other than aftermarket wheels, which came with the car from Japan. I changed them when I was forced off the road to Momo GT2's in dark Green simular colour to the factory wheels.

I am facing the same question. Cool body mods or over 600 hp. As that I don't have lots of moola I am kinda stuck. Go fast and possibly crash or look good going down the road? I already do both so I am at an impass. Any guidance from all the skyline wellwishers?

Silly question...go fast of course, keep the car as stock looking as possible. I'll propably add Nismo LM GT4's in the car otherwise keeping it looking the way it is.

Besides maybe new wheels or lower front lip, the car looks awesome as it is, go the engine mods.

Well I am now at an even greater impass. I asked around to a seemingly reputable source, and it sounds like it would be better to keep it closer to stock if I were to send it to the states. So that brings me to current Wax up the body/ while finding a bunch of parts to send home. Or go for broke, eat nothing but tuna and cup o noodles for the rest of my life and bring my sweetheart up over 1000 hp.

On a sadistic note I just watched a suburu who wanted to race me do a lil fish tail on the ice and hit a cat. I had to laugh. Poor cat though.
My car told me not to race. Other wise I could be in a snow bank right now.

Cool

Go with performance. Every time I see a riced Skyline, I can almost hear the babies crying . It should be a felony for any ricer to touch a non-Honda .

numbware, why do you hate hondas so much? yea compared to a skyline they suck but what do you expect their not sports cars, not all honda owners are ricers and not all ricers are honda owners (i see cavaliers with 3 foot wings all the time) that is a funny pic though

This thread and this part of the forums is not the place to discuss hondas. I have nothing personal against them or their drivers. How ever it becomes personal when discussions not pertaining to the thread topic spills over and ruins a good thread.

You to take it private. :smoker2:

Back on topic.

I personally have never been into show cars. To me for my personal taste it seems a waste to own something like that unless it will win you money.
Go the performance and handling departments. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to shyt all over a nice show car hahaha

if you really know about skylines, they're all go first.

there are some amazingly beautiful cars out there, but they are, by nature, fast ass cars.

so there's really no "all show" skyline... unless you count something with 800hp and 8 12" woofers in the back as "all show"...

tough to discern, but most skylines i've seen (pics on the web and what not) are usually clean, stock looking cars, or built up and 1/2 way gutted to go fast...

this is a horrible thread, and almost sacrilegous to anyone who actually has an interest in the skyline...

on a similar note, there was an nsx featured on www.overboost.com about a month ago that was all show, with no engine mods and a huge wing on it... it looked good, and it's probably still faster than my car, but for it's looks, it should eat anything on the road...

i was disappointed when i read the article...

Although I'm not a Skyline owner I would have to agree with most of the guys here, I myself would go for all go no show. Is sad to see a beautiful car ruined by show stuff. There's a few guy here on base that have skyline and they some of them look like crap.

edit: don't flame on my CF hood =( that came after my turbo install, just in case someone see my sig.

Exactly guys. While some minor outside changes enhance the car IMO, others such as full kits just don't work. I know some are really into that sort of thing but hey good on them if that is their thing.

The only thing that I would consider is a cool wing change, maybe front and possibly rear bumper. Still debating the carbon fiber hood. I am just getting used to my new horse power. True the car does not need body changes but I want mine to be different than others.
