isnt the 4G63 engine the Evolutions engine??? The real question im askin is that, how come the Evo wit the 4g63 engine, y is it faster than the GSX??? i know that the GSX engine is a 4g63??

yes, they're the same motor.
different reasons for being different in speed. us emissions are different than jdm. turbo size. gearbox. gearing. weight. if an evo has 280 or so hp, compared to the 190-200 of the gsx, do the math on why the evo is quicker. |

While the Evo and Eclipse do have the same block and cylinder head, thats about all they have in common. The Evo has lighter, higher compression pistons, a bigger turbo, a free-er flowing exhaust, a front mount IC, different gear ratios in the transmission.
While this is a good questions, its like asking why a Corvette and a Tahoe don't have similar performance even though both have the same 5.7 liter block. Peace
