raced friend vtec 5th gen prelude 5 speed.
we were both coming home from flushing after shooting pool, and my friend and i was driving home. we hit a few long straights with a light, and its 1 a.m. in the morning so we both were curious to see how my car would do against a prelude. so here are the conditions, i have 1 passenger that weights 190lb. i also 3 quarter of a tank full of gas, him he has 2 passengers weighting in at 150lb each. but his tank is only half a 1/4 thank full. he had his a/c on without realizing, and i turned everything off. well when the light turned green, he took me off the line by 1/2 a car. we both did really well gun outs by the way, but his car just acelerated harder on 1st. by the time i'm almost done with 1st gear, he shifted to second and was already in second gear. on second gear, he pulled fully ahead of me. by the time we shifted to 3rd, he was only slowly walkin away from me. so at the end of 3rd and at 90mph he was 1.5 cars ahead. i did alot better then i thought i would.

hmm ok, im guessing 190 passenger would be martin in your car and the two 150's with bry gotta be david im and err um shane???

krnxracer00 to be honest with you, i thought that i would take him off the line, but yes the prelude has amazingly good low end. even higher low and mid end then my car i think, and my car is a mid end car too. and benny, the 190lb passenger was john. lolz damn he got fat. hahaha and the driver for the prelude was norman, naturally, and then bry was in passenger side, and david was in back seat. and my bad for leaving, i was maaad tired.

Nice job. I raced a 5th gen once. I had a half a car on him in first gear, but by 90mph he was half a length ahead of me. He also had a passenger when I didnt.

Why not just get a CA18DET? Those things go for less than a $1000
