I would say an agressive turbo application could boost you into the 13's.
Exerior: CF Hood Interior: Racing Buckets and remove back seat, keep the interior otherwise stock (no stereo, etc) or strip it. Engine: Turbo kit, Intercooler, Bored Out or larger TB, Larger Injectors, Larger Fuel Rail, Adjustable FPR (Boost regulated FPR), Lower CR to 8.5:1, Port and Polish your head, 4 Inch Cat w/ 4 Inch custom exhaust or test pipe if it is for track use only, UR 3 pc. pulley set, UR adjustable cam gears. Driveline: LSD, Upgrade Clutch, Lighten Flywheel. Wheels: Lightweight wheels (16 or 17 inch) (RH CP-035's are good) (or drag slicks). Electronics: Boost Controller, Turbo Timer, Boost guage, EGT gauge, Fuel Mixture Guage. That's a list off the top of my head; I might have left some items off the list. Personally I can't rationalize spending all that money on a prelude, but whatever does it for yah.

Upgrade your C-Rods, too.

just a guess though.

Oh, and if that isn't enough, either add more boost, or NOS.

I want it to be strictly street, and i'm not gunna be stripping the interior, i want pretty much stock interior except for maybe race seats.... and i will be putting in a sound system, some electronics, etc.
but lots of people have been tellin me to get an Eclipse GS-T, they say that it'll cost me half as much to make it do 12s |

Yeah, a prelude takes a lot of cash to make it to the 12's.

yah, kinda missing the point. lude's weren't made for drag racing...but for carving corners and canyons, etc.
should get a different chassis before spending that $12.5K for a soso-fast rod.

well...thats a whole nother forum, but as for me, i would stick with the lude... cuz how many do you see around? not many... how many are 12 sec cars? not many...
the only reason a gst is easier is b/c it already has a turbo and strong motor... all you do is upgrade... whereas on the lude you have to add b4 upgrading... but around here, eclipses are a dime a dozen... i wouldnt want one, only b/c to me, they are played out... everyone has one. not that they are bad cars, but you will also get noticed and respected quicker witha lude... it is kinda understood that the eclipse turbo should be hella fast like that... but they arent great handlers(as stated)... thats my opinion... oh yeah, isnt there some guy on here with an auto f max turbo 5gen that runs 13s? has some z3 fenders on it... and a kit? |

Well if you wanna make it fast, I wouldn't spend too much dough on the system. You're just adding more weight to the car and would definitely not help in making it to lesser times. But if you wanna make it go fast, the suggestions already provided to you will definitely help you reach your goal.
As for the eclipse, yeah you could get that and make it go faster but like previously stated, everyone has one. So if you don't care for the hype and popularity, get the eclipse. I personally would get the lude. Reason being is, it comes with V-tec, which helps in the higher rpm range and can only help add to whatever turbo you put on. Plus it has a strong aftermarket support. You can do a lot of things to it. Around here where I live, only a select few of people have ludes, and man can those things fly. They especially sound real nice with a CAI installed. So if I were in your shoes, I'd stick to the lude.

where I live there are sooo many preludes..... here preludes are played out.... i see about 3/4 as many preludes as accords.... and there are no eclipses here cause mitsubishi doesn't sell cars in Canada, they only have Eagle Talon.

if they dont have em up there, go for it then, but i think i like the lude more.. but if i saw em all the time like that, i would think the same... i getcha.. go eclipse then... or at least a talon...

yah, personally, I'd stick to my lude and wait until the RSX aftermarket stuff becomes available. hoping to get a TypeR version if it comes out in the states. ludes were never really a drag car, but it sure brings a smile to my face each time I drive it.
love the sound, the vtec, the handling, the smooth tight ride, etc. just so much fun driving it.
