I just received my carbonfiber hood today and i have already begun to put it on. I live in rochester NY right by the lake. its pretty snowy here. Will salt, snow, slush, cold air or freezing temperatures affect the hood in any way shape or form? will it crack? yatta yatta... does anyone have a CF that they have been using through this winter? :monkeypis WINTER :aug2:

CF is pretty tough stuff... I bet it'll be fine. There isn't any kind of paperwork that came with the hood?? I would have thought that they would talk about that kind of stuff...:smoka:

I have a fiberglass hood on my car and i live in Mass and drive it in the winter never had any problems with cracking or bending. A C/F hood should hold up fine.

It should be fine in the salt and snow because they do use it in the military on fighter jets and also in race cars and they go in harsh extreme weather and high heat.
