Is $600 high for a Fiber Images Carbon fiber hood?
My friend is supposed to buy an OEM style (w/o the washer nozzles -- for a clean look) Fiber Images c/f hood tommorrow from a friend of his who owns a shop. I am thinking $600 is kind of steep. Anywhere online that sell Fiber Images hoods? Are these hoods good quality in terms of fitting like OEM?
Thanks for any help or suggestions!! The car is a 92 or 93 civic h/b!

not too sure but, from all the prices i ever saw for the fiber images hood was around 500 or so. maybe with the shipping it would be about that much. sorry i can't help you out more, but i am sure someone will.

i don't know much about hoods. i think $350 - $600 for a hood is fairly priced. then again i wont buy a hood if it cost $600, just way to much if you ask me. carbon fiber hoods are koo, but in my area all these ricers played them out!

The hood is $500 + $100 s/h. I can't find a cf hood for less than $500!

i have a friend who got a carbon fiber hood from ViS for $450. its a pretty damn good hood if you ask me. he didn't pay shipping because hes just a few miles away from the shop, so he just went there and picked it up. contact Vis ( www.visracing.com ) you might want to check ebay, ive seen a lot of hoods there for cheap.
by the way how come you never start your own threads?? you always have your friend LX98CIVIC ask for you, and you pop in with a post saying its you that hes talking about. :smoker2:

Remember, you get what you pay for.
I'd spend the extra and go with FI. I've always heard good things about them as a company and their quality. I don't think thats too bad of a price if it includes shipping. You might wanna check around on Groupbuycenter.com to be sure they aren't ripping you on shipping. Or even check UPS.com and do a rate check. You just gotta know the weight and dimentions.

i only paid 300 for my carbon fiber hood. you can get carbon fiber hoods that are not fiber images for a lot cheeper but the quality is just as good.

Fiber Images hoods are awesome! One of the best out there as well as VIS hoods. Both are really really great when it comes to quality and design. I can sell carbon fiber hoods that are custom laid. We buy from a shop that strictly deals with laying carbon fiber hoods and I have one myself. $335 w/o shipping.
