Supra vs WRX
I know this place is really biased ecspecially after reading the mix between the RSX and WRX, but I am going to ask this anyway.
For starters how easy is the WRX to mod, a 03 one? And secondaly, which one would you want a WRX or 4th gen Supra tt or even naturally aspirated. |

wrx = easy to mod, supra turbo= easier
assuming both the turbo supra and wrx were brand new and the same price, i'd take the supra. in reality, a used turbo supra is gonna cost as much if not more than a new wrx, and in that case, the wrx wins no contest. i wouldn't take an n/a supra over a wrx in any situation

agreed, but i'd go with a supra over the wrx if it's all about the power and straight line...
if it's about the corners, wrx. which is me. the supra is kinda porky... i'll go wrx only b/c they'll handle circles around a supra and can be made to run fast as hell... not as fast as a supra, but quick... and hell, there's a top speed video that i've got of an older wrx running as fast as a modded skyline, and we're talking almost 200mph... so it's not like you can't do it... |

Thanks for those replies, Yea I know that the wrx can handle 400 times better than the supra but a supra can be easily modded to get 1000+hp,
I dont know much about the wrx but I like the way they look, and I also live in the mountians I could do major damage with that, but what about top speed yeah, you said it could hold its own at 200, but what about just stock with such low gearing they will run out of gears before it can even hit a decent top speed. |

in the real world...
a street modded wrx would kill a supra if it had to take a corner. how many real world 1000hp supras are there? driven daily? right. how about sick wrx's that are modded to hell and will beat a supra... lots more... |

I know of a place in Cali. That does them quite regurally. butyour running stock to stock, 320hp - 227hp, granted if the supra had to take a turn depending on how much in front it was at the start of thatturn yes, the supra would have gotten blown by at the turn, bc i used to drive and old school supra and I know all about that
supra, water = bad. |

if you do a lot of city driving and expect to be racing people in the 20-40mph range like an average stoplight race, the wrx is the car for you. |

it would be a show/drag car.....not on the road....ive learned my lesson, but from what i was reading in another post, is it true the wrx only puts 147 to the ground?

the 1.8t is only fwd, not awd.
it makes a big difference. there is a bigger power loss from that hp going through an awd drivetrain. keep that in mind... that's from scc as well... they tested 5-6 modded wrx's a while back, and dynoed em all... compared to a stock wrx at 147hp. |

hp lost through the drivetrain:
fwd is usually about 18% rwd is 15-20% awd is about 25% |
