I'm not sure I understand what you are talking about....you said you have the mod but yet you are asking if you should do the mod? And taping a resistor to your air intake temp sensor is not "advancing your timing" at all....not even close, lol

timing advance mod kit

ok here is what i got
1 disconnect battery
2 locate iat intake air temp. sensor
3 unplug iat sensor
4 take a resistor you can buy
5 push both ends of the resistor into the plug
6 tape resistor to iat pulg
7 reconnect the batt.

if you don`t have iat do it to the coolant temp sensor.
it advance the timing is all it does. eats gas.

Well I'm not sure what that does, but It doesn't advance the timing I can tell you that. To advance the timing you have to physically turn the distributer, and on a distributerless ignition you have to hook into the ecu through some kind of other device (consult, consult ii, etc). And truly advancing your timing does not just burn extra gas. It gives you more power (up to 5-6), this means it takes less throttle to overcome air resistance and helps your gas mileage

Re: timing advvance mod

this is a garbage mod dont waste ur time.... and advancing ur timminng means u move the distributor twards the firewall but put ur car into timmin mode first
