Hey all, I'm pretty much brand new to the tuning scene with my stock '91 Accord, 4 banger slushbox tranny =0) I love the car...but it needs some things. I've heard about 8 different answers as to whether its even possible to swap out the auto tranny for a 5 speed. So, is this operation possible, and if so, what will be involved? I'm also interested in throwing in a beefier engine down the road. Do the newer VTEC's work with my old car, or am I looking at something like out of a 90 or so Prelude? Thanks immensly to anyone who helps in advance!!

Okay, here goes. Yes you can swap. The engine and trans combo is as follows. The H22A DOHC w/VTEC and manual trans. Yes you can use this combo and yes it will mount right up with the engine mounts in our car. Make sure when purchasing it, that you get the ecu and other things associated with the swap. You can go to groupbuycenter.com and look to see if they have any available there. The cost to do this will depend on where you take it to. It will range at or above $2000. Good luck.
