Got a problem with CAI, plz help!
I got 97 maxima. Just bought used CAI from .org member. Its custom Injen CAI. Installed it today, but on the short piece of CAI there are only two (2) metal tubes to connect two hoses that come from right side from the CAI. There is NO 3rd tube on the whole CAI to connect the 3rd hose that comes from Valve. I know that there are two hoses that come from valve. One of them is thin, which is vacuum, and second is the one that sucks the air into the valve compartment, and for this one there is no place to connect to CAI. AND HERE IS THE PROBLEM!!! After I installed CAI I drove my car for about 30 minutes today after. My engine surges at low RPM and idle at any speed when not pressing on
the gas. I think the hose which is not connected to the CAI that comes from the Valve (not the vacuum hose) causing this problem. Did any experience the same thing? Any Suggestions? Thanks in advance.
