Lancer vs. Se-r vspec
hey, i'm in the market for a new car, i want to buy a vspec or a lancer, reason i'm saying lancer is because of what i herd about the jap version. i'm used to my 5.0 mustang, but i blew the tranny
 i don't know if i should get the lancer and mod it, or to get the vspec and put turbo on it, either way, i'm going to add turbo to both cars. just i herd that the lancer jap version could run with a skyline, i don't know what to do. will the lancer be alot easier to mod?

I am going to move this to car comparisons. You may get better feedback there.
the Lancer that we are getting, is a watered down version of the EVO that you are thinking of. The one we will get would have a very tough time even thinking of running with a Skyline.

Spec-V(pronounced 5) - 180hp Lancer - too boxy Spec-V - baby skyline styling Lancer - 15" OZ wheels Spec-V - 17" Enkei's Lancer - 5-speed Spec-V - 6-speed Lancer - OEM stereo Spec-V - 270W Rockford Fosgate system Spec-V for me!!! but their is supposed to be a Lancer EVO coming, but that'll be like a year or 2 from now, it'll be a stripped down version of course and plan on the price tag to be around 25K or so to compete with the current WRX.

Spec-V overhyped??? no way, no one around here even knows about it coming out, overhyped cars are the RSX's and such.

Lancers really suck, they're comparable to civics... the SE-R is much better for performance
The Lancer EVO is sweet though, it's probably one of the best cars you could buy, but it's not out in the U.S. yet and it'll cost a LOT more than an SE-R (but it's worth it, the EVO does 0-60mph in less than 5seconds) like somebody else said, the mitsu Lancer and the Lancer EVO are TOTALLY different... they hardly share any parts, but they look almost the same

Looks like a bluebird, but also looks American...
What engine? My brother had a 92 bluebird with the SR20DET in it 4WD. It was damn fast. EVO and WRX eater!

yep..the new lancer Evo is coming to the US..the 200 something HP...gonna be a cool car....but the skyline GTR R35 is gonna be out hea too...but as an Infiniti X35...
