my new angel eye headlights came in today. however, the driver side headlight is defected and the high beam does not work. no worries though, the company has already sent a replacement lamp and a UPS return label so I can send them back the defective one. I installed the other one to test it out. Itt Lookss GREEAATT! When the other one comes in, ill take pics.

Yea, one my right angel eye headlamp was defective at first also. All I had do was pull back the wire cover. The bulb wasn't getting enough electicity, but I fixed it... saved shipping wait. Just beware that with these lamps you will probably need an HID kit. The H1 and H3 bulbs are made for HID and incase u didn't know civics aren't HID. Unfortunately the kits are expensive and without it xenon bulbs don't last more than 3 weeks. Since every installation requires you to take off your whole bumper I would recommend getting the HID kit if possible. I believe this is the only solution. If anyone else has any idea then please make a post

i know my high beams use a H1 bulb, but since im not riding around with my brights on, that shouldnt be a problem. I'm not sure bout the other bulbs though. The company said no kit required, but its off an ebay auction so they will say anything just to get you to buy it. Approx. how much are these kits?

hid kits for civics run about $500 but i don't think you need it.

holy crap. 500$ for a headlight kit?! i'll just sell them to someone else. i hope i don't need one. the other lamp comes in tomorrow! I've been riding around with one new headlight and one stock because I had already spliced the wires on the other headlight's halo when I realized the high beams didn't work on the drivers side. It's rice as hell, but tomorrow it'll be all good. I'll take a bunch of pics (day and night). I wanna know what you guys think of them.

You dont need no hid kit to make your lights work, you just need that friggin wiring harness with i think for fuses and your lights should work fine, The harness should off came with the lights if it didnt you got ripped.

Dude, they came with harnesses but not to take them to the battery seperately for more power. I got mine from the same seller off ebay but I didn't splice any wires, I took the angel eyes to my fuse block and to a switch on the interior of my car. Oh, and the HIDs do cost a lot but the harnesses I am looking for aren't HID, they are strictly harnesses that take more power from the battery. They cost about $40-$50 bucks but I still haven't found ones which use the H1 and H3s, just ones that use them separetly, and since I need highs and lows to plug into the socket they wouldn't work. I still want my highs to work sometimes.

Well you must have gotten a different harness cuz mine lead to the battery.

markpa, you said that they lead to your battery but are you just talking about the 3 plug just like an outlet plug? The plug mine came with is exactly like the plug on my factory headlamp. This works but there is no extra wire coming off for me to wire it to the battery separately. Did yours actually come with more than 1 plug. If it didn't than try to put some xenon bulbs in the H3 slot and see how long they last.

it comes with an extra wire it doesnt have a plug it has this "connector circle thing" AND THAT GOES TO THE BATTERY. I got my lights long ago though.
