Okay, I've been looking for some fake HID's that are street legal. I was told (but by a Honda owner, mind you
) that these are good fake HID alternatives: Luks Metal Whites. Any personal input? I like that cool blueish hue, just so you get the idea of what I'm looking for. Thanks so much!

Well if it's just the color you're looking for, anything will do. however, don't go above 65 Watt output because the Infiniti harness can't handle anything higher. If you do, you'll melt the harness off. The cheaper bulbs out there would be a little worse because the base of them is just made out of plastic, which heats up a whole bunch. The more expensive bulbs, like the PIAA platinums have a base made out of well insulated materials.

Go with PIAA, they have given my friends the least trouble.

If you want serious lighting, go with real HID. It can be had for just about ANY time of automobile and motorcycle now, and the price IS gradually dropping. Think about it... Without a light filament or high heat, you will never have to replace the bulbs again. The only drawback is that you will have to dish out a few hundred greens at LEAST. But wouldn't you rather revolutionize the industry rather than conform to?
(Recent cars or bikes with genuine HID I've encountered: Nissan S13 240SX, several E36 BMWs, Suzuki GSX-R750, Lexus SC300... just to name a few.) |

H3 bulbs are th ones you use int he foglights. I thought her question was about headlights. Yeah, my friend uses 85 watts in his factory foglights, but for his headlights (9004) the harness couldn't handle it. the cheap blue bulbs he got that were high wattage
